MARK BEAUMONT – is an Equine, commercial and editorial Photographer. He is also the official photographer for Cowdray Park Polo Club.
Photography is his passion, initially specialising in creating beautiful timeless portraits of horses in an original way, using many years of photographic skill learnt on unforgiving film emulsions, long before the invention of digital photography and Photoshop. His horse portraits have been compared to paintings by the old Masters, with their majesty and formal poses whilst still retaining the personality of the Equus genus.
Mark has always had a fascination with light and its interaction with subjects which has ultimately led him to a path of using controlled daylight as well as crafted studio lighting techniques.
Horse photography is a specialist art form, requiring inexhaustible patience and dedication to understanding the equine form. This is reflected by there being only a handful of equine photographers in the UK, specialising in this difficult field.
